The Daytona 99s are organizing a pennies a pound fundraiser. The principle is simple. Step on a scale and pay for your airplane ride as a function of your weight! We will be charging $0.20/lb with a minimum of $10 and a maximum of $40. The 99s promote advancement of aviation through education, scholarships, and mutual support while honoring our unique history and sharing our passion for flight. The proceeds of this event will be donated to our international organization to use in scholarships.
Details of the event:
Saturday, November 10th, 2018, DeLand airport (1579 Old NDB Rd, DeLand, Florida 32724, map below), weather permitting. All are welcome. Kids 3-8 need to fly accompanied by an adult, minors 8 and older just need a parent/guardian authorization.
Onsite registration for passengers starts at 9am until noon, and ground activities for kids and kids at heart will be available.
