If Oshkosh is on your summer calendar, please join the 99s at our July 25 Aviation Appreciation Dinner where one of our favorite instructors and Earthrounder, Adrian Eichhorn, will share riveting tales, risk management lessons learned, and fabulous pictures from his 2016 once-in-a-lifetime solo flight around the world in his single engine Bonanza. Tickets, a flyer and additional information at www.99soshkoshdinner.com. Wings credit is available for this event.
The 99s will award a $3,000 Karen Johnson Solo Scholarship to provide a young woman (age 16-20 at any time during 2017 calendar year) who wants to learn to fly with financial support for flight training through first solo and beyond. In addition, the winner will receive a King Schools flight training course to prepare for a written exam and check ride. The scholarship will be awarded at the Aviation Appreciation Dinner in Oshkosh on July 25. If you know a young woman who might be interested in learning to fly, please share this information with them. The deadline for applications is July 1. Information about the scholarship and how to apply along with a flyer can be found at www.kjsoloscholarship.com.
We would be grateful if you would post something about the dinner and the scholarship on your Facebook page and share with your Daytona Beachin Eagles Chapter members.
Thank you,
