Virginie Rollin – Fall Southeast Section Meeting highlights
The Fall section meeting was held in Fall Creek Falls State Park in TN on October 8th 2016. Some of the highlights of the business meeting are:
- The section’s bank account is pretty full from both International Meeting benefits and donations from past members. Motions for different donations were made and approved.
- The section has created awards. Applications will be taken before March 31st and will cover activity between January 1st and December 31st of the previous year. Three awards will be given, and each chapter can submit one nomination for each. These are: “99s of note” for an outstanding 99 in the chapter, “spinning prop” for the 99 with the most (non compensated) flight hours in a year, and “49 1/2” for any non 99 (not necessarily a 49 1/2) who is always there for a 99 and her chapter.
- Our international president was the international representative at the meeting, and she asked for pictures and short stories for our international website.
- Upcoming meetings: Spring Section meeting in Tamiami at the end of April. International meeting in San Antonio in July, Fall 2017 Section meeting in Memphis TN, and Spring 2018 section meeting at SunNFun.
